The Mainframe Computing Operational Tools Team develops new applications and tools that assist the Mainframe Computing Department in their support of the Wealth Management (WM) and Institutional Securities Group (ISG) business units, as well as the various Development teams that provide day-to-day Mainframe System support.
The team also provides support and enhancements of many existing in-house developed applications and tools.
We are looking for an intermediate level Perl/Python/JavaScript/Sybase developer who is a strong team player with great interpersonal and communication skills, can work independently and who can also collaborate with colleagues via email, instant messaging, and telephony.
As well, they need to be able to drive complex data visualization projects from conceptual design through all development and test stages to completion.

Responsibilities

• Minimum of 3+ years of Perl/Python experience in systems/software development in a Unix/Linux environment
• Practical experience with design and implementation of Object-Oriented Perl/Python applications
• Practical experience with both using and writing Perl/Python modules
• Minimum of 3+ years of JavaScript experience in systems/software development in a Unix/Linux environment
• Database design and development experience, preferably in Sybase

• Sybase - Very strong level with an ability to write complex SQL queries
