5+ years Tandem/Cobol Development Experience
Must have Proficiency in: COBOL, Pathway, TACL, Enscribe, FUP, SCUP, Peruse, Inspect, Netbatch
Understanding of Legacy Systems best practices
Proven ability to analyze and understand existing processes and code
Mainframe Background a plus
Responsibilities
- Coordinates development activities to be assigned to a team of 1-5 developers
- Develops system requirement specifications for medium to large program segments
- Develops detailed system requirement specifications
- Develops Technical Design Document
- Codes applications, databases, interface programs
- Conduct peer review (Unit Test)
- Creates Unit Test cases
- Documents code (comments)
- Documents system functionality
- Troubleshoots and updates code to address defects and enhancements
- Does hands-off of development back and forth to vendor organization; ensures consistency and quality
