Technical Business Analyst

Description

Ensures the EBB operates in compliance with all regulations using standard methodologies and continuous improvement by reviewing project proposals for tariff and North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB)/Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) compliance
Designs prototypes and proof of concepts for modeling, data mining and production purposes; builds sophisticated models that use predictive or prescriptive analytics
Provides recommendations to create and implement business process, workflow, and technology solutions to achieve our business objectives
Analyzes data to see trends, predict behavior, and identify process improvements Mentors and trains others

Responsibilities

• Assist with Power BI Development Assist with Power BI Training Assist with Power BI maintenance BI Project Support to support BI projects either initiated by the BI team or when the BI team is a part of a larger, outside effort this individual perform general MSIS/IT Analysts duties.
• As Company is in the process of replacing a legacy reporting tool, this individual will work to help reduce the number of reports converted by analyzing usage-audit-reports looking for duplicates, orphaned and otherwise unneeded reports. This individual is expected to contact end users and help them understand why this project/ analysis is occurring. They will act as a resource to answer questions and provide direction to the report conversion teams if reports need to be added to the list of those being converted or if alterations are required.
• On the direction of a PM and with the help from BI Professionals and Business Analysts, help to document requirements, draft test plans and perform unit testing and user training.
• With the support of the BI team; conduct end-user workshops and training on new self-service BI tools (E.g. PowerView and Excel Services).
