Build and nurture strong relationships with business stakeholders and delivery teams based on trust and confidence. Plan and conduct discovery phase workshops across all levels of the organization. Elicit and document business requirements in US format (JIRA). Evaluate business processes identify areas for improvement and recommend optimization strategies. Conduct ongoing reviews of business processes to improve and modernize systems. Stay current with industry trends to drive automation and system modernization efforts. Communicate findings and insights through meetings presentations and documentation. Perform detailed requirements analysis and produce clear documentation for cross-functional teams. Build mock-ups/wireframes to illustrate and communicate system interactions. Collaborate with SMEs business users and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet business needs. Facilitate focus groups showcase sessions and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Assist the Business PMO team in creating training materials. Conduct cost/benefit analysis to assess the ROI of proposed solutions.Description
Trinity Rail is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join their Strategic Initiative Project. The successful candidate will work closely with the IT Sr. Manager (IT Systems Analysis) and collaborate with cross-functional teams. In this role, you will focus on gathering requirements, documenting user stories, developing solutions with the team, and performing user acceptance testing. This role requires strong analytical thinking, the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical users, and a proactive approach to business process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Finance preferred; MBA a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Lead Business Analyst role or prior consulting experience.
- Strong background in leading successful projects and managing stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and Business Process Management (BPM).
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A proven track record of following through on commitments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Working experience with Azure DevOps and Jira.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
