Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 6 years of experience with Teradata DB Administration.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for im administration of Teradata DB infrastructure.
• Responsible for capacity planning and estimating the requirements for lowering or increasing the capacity of the Teradata DB.
• Experience with Data Lake, Data Warehouses and Data Marts · Consult on physical database implementations, PPI, skew analysis, join methods, and data access paths · Establish and Maintain Backup and Recovery Policies and Procedures · Experiences in backup and restore (BAR) design and implementation · Very strong in database design, tuning, and trouble shooting · Solid in the transition of the logical data models to physical data models using Er-Win or equivalent data modeling tools · Experience in setup, configuration and management of security and integration with LDAP/AD at an Enterprise level.
• Stay up to date with new Teradata releases and technologies and make recommendations for upgrades as necessary · Ensure the security of sensitive data by implementing and maintaining appropriate security measures · Advanced working knowledge of Teradata suite of tools; DataMover, BAR, TASM, TTU Tools, TPT, DBQL, PDCR, Viewpoint, Querygrid · Automate DBA daily activities through Jenkin, Git, Scripting etc.
• Monitoring and controlling the performance and status of critical components and providing technology component support and problem resolution.
• Knowledge of implementing Row/Column level Data security, Data Encryption.
• General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system capacity, bottle necks and storage capacity planning.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable when dealing with change · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Point of Contact for Vendor escalation.
• Handling designers, developers and business request.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of additional tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Business Objects, Informatica is a plus
