Description
As a Sr Test Engineer, you will serve an integral role in our QA team, working interactively with Product Management, Software Developers, Test Engineers and Business Analysts to analyze requirements and to provide test coverage for the features and products developed by our teams. You will recommend and implement improvements to help increase quality of testing for our software applications. Your skills will be leveraged to coach, mentor, and collaborate with others. You will be responsible for designing, developing and evolving test automation frameworks, defining automation coding and source code management standards, developing tools and utilities for test automation, managing test infrastructure, and exploring innovations in test automation.
Responsibilities
- • Perform tasks required for test implementation including review acceptance criteria, create test scenarios, implement data management strategy
- • Analyze specifications and collaborate with the team to document requirements and acceptance criteria. Ensure traceability between requirements and testing
- • Execute manual and automated test cases, record test results, analyze test failures, and report issues to the team
- • Act as the primary contact for testing activities and responsibilities for the development team
- • Develop, implement, and maintain test data and environments required for testing
- • Provide thorough documentation, including test planning, strategies, and bug reports
- • Maintain and improve subject matter expertise including general software architecture knowledge
- • Manage changing priorities
- • Collaborate with team members located across the globe
- • Propose/implement improvements that result in increased efficiency and reduction of risk
- • Provide mentorship, support, and backup for other QA team members
- • Explore and integrate tools that aid in the development and testing of our products
- Qualifications:
- • Independently automate tests using Ruby/Cucumber, Java, or other similar language
- • Works well independently and collaboratively
- • Strong communication, public speaking, coaching, and mentoring skills
- • Understanding of Agile/Scrum processes and experience participating in an Agile team
- • Experience with defect management
- • Experience with testing across a variety of devices and operating systems
- • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing techniques, including functional, non-functional, system integration, install verification, and testing across many phases of a project
- • Experience with Gherkin, Ruby, Cucumber, Watir and Selenium
