Skills
· 2-5 years of UI/UX experience on the product design side (quick service retail experience is a plus). · Portfolio demonstrating evidence of shipping world-class experiences for which you were directly involved in. · Fluency in contemporary product design and prototyping tools (we use Figma). · A deep commitment to craft visual design and overall product excellence. · Strong systems-thinking skills. You translate complexity into intuitive user experiences and consider every point of the user journey. · Experience conducting user research and digging into data to help inform design iterations. · Strong oral and written communications skills. The UI/UX Product Designer II works under direction of the Team Lead – Product Design to define, design, document, communicate and maintain the visual design of Next Generation Point of Sale System with the goal of improving the performance of our applications against our key KPIs. The Product Designer is accountable for design process implementation and related artifacts. The Product Designer drives the collaboration with business area(s), IS, and technology vendors to help set and execute the design vision for software development projects.
Responsibilities
- · Produce, document, and communicate effective UX designs for multiple interfaces - via mockups, high-fidelity wireframes, component specs, redlines, templates and prototypes.
- · Definition and deployment of UI styles and patterns via a componentized style guide, specifications, and optimized assets
- · Collaborates with business customers in discussions relative to current user experience projects and the future direction of design and user experience.
- · Participates in design reviews with the business community to refine and validate designs.
- · Demonstrates a solid understanding of Agile UX methodologies.
- · Involved in research and evaluation of emerging design, technology, industry, and market trends.
- · Ensures overall quality of solutions throughout the design process.
- · Represents as a strong and passionate voice for the work as we share and present to cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
- · Works closely with the technical delivery managers, business analysts, solution architects, and development leads for overall coordination of key design deliverables and to ensure accurate understanding of UI requirements.
- · Looks for opportunities to solve problems in unique and innovative ways.
Educational Requirements
- · Prior experience in web application design
- · Understands the capabilities of key technologies used in software development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience Requirements
- · Strong Interaction Design skills: wireframing, prototyping, and animation; HTML5 and CSS3 a plus
- · Experience with Android/Material Design principles: GUI design & usability a plus
- · Demonstrated effectiveness in a fast-paced rapidly changing environment.
- · Understands, can participate in and lead solutions design.
- · Able to work on multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
