100% remote (they can come into the office if they want, but they are not required to do this at all other than potentially once a quarter) They like someone local since they have quarterly meetings and its nice to have the person come in once a quarter or to meet with the business if its needed.

In this role they are the only UI/UX person so they need to own the strategy and be very hands on. They will play both the UI side and UX side of things. They will be working on Smartpress.com They need to have experience with Figma doing prototyping. This is a fast paced group and can't wait and sit back for things. Wants a go getter. Would also like the person to have some knowledge (don't have to be a coder) with HTML, JavaScript and overall want someone who is more technical than theoretical.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for innovating and improving the experiences for Smartpress customers. Executes and supports multiple concurrent projects as well as owning the UI/UX design strategy for The Bernard Group's primary B2B/B2C website, Smartpress.com . Individual plays an integral role in optimizing the user's experience by evolving the solution brand, workflows, user experiences and user interfaces. Ensure that all elements of the application's user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
Additional Requirements
- Working with personnel from both engineering and marketing on the conceptualization, development, conceptualization and maintenance of a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for The Bernard Group as it relates to both its main B2C website and all supporting back-office web-based capabilities.
- Working in an agile environment, ability to articulate and define deliverables, detail out user stories and work products for producing UI/UX related work products.
- Using an iterative approach, improves experiences through insights gathered from analytics and user testing/feedback.
- Producing high-quality UI/UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, mockups, prototypes and visual designs.
- Testing and measuring of effectiveness for UI elements such as CTAs, banners, page layouts, page designs, page flows, and target links for various web pages.
- Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback.
- Setting and maintaining style standards and visual design direction of B2C website and back office supporting web pages both used externally and internally.
- Create high fidelity UI Visual designs
- Create and maintain style guides for both B2C and back-office websites
- Create deliverables that account for a multiple of screen sizes and device capabilities
- Effectively collaborates with product, engineering, marketing, and management personnel.
