Description
The Web Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and administering/managing all IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Tivoli Access Manager and Portal Server environments.
Responsibilities
- • Installing, configuring, and administering/managing WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- • Installing, configuring and integration of the Oracle Directory Server
- • Configuring and integrating applications with Single-Sign on (SSO) and SAML
- • Triaging and resolving issues with WebSphere and associated technologies. Trouble shooting of WAS environment and applications (Analyze JVM logs, Trace Logs, FFDC, native logs, java core, heap dumps)
- • Performance tuning WAS, WPS by configuring caching, queuing, pooling, heapsize and optimizing other JVM parameters.
- • Work with Enterprise Architecture team and development teams for with WebSphere Application server and Portal Server implementations
- • Writing Python, Unix shell Scripting for administration
- • Involve in ongoing research, development and testing of WebSphere, IBM HTTP Server, and Security Vulnerability. This includes configuration of DMZ environment.
- • In addition, the group engages in setup, deploys, security management, capacity management, and will coordinate backup / restore and system recovery activities. It also supports infrastructure architecture, application integration, projects setup and deployments.
- • The team also monitors application infrastructure for service availability supporting business operations.
