• On premise and Cloud infrastructure Level 2/3 support and stability
• Maintain, setup, diagnose and troubleshoot server and database problems
• Windows and Linux server installation, configuration, tuning, monitoring and break-fix support
• Application functional and performance monitoring, root cause analysis and resolution
• Solid understanding of Azure service offerings and ability to design hybrid solutions
• SQL Server installation, configuration, tuning, monitoring and support
• Establish and maintain environment configuration specifications, manage upgrade and deployment processes through all stages of the SDLC and deployment history
• Proficient knowledge of scripting with PowerShell, Batch, Shell, SQL, Python or Perl a plus
• IT Automation and Configuration Management; Chef, Puppet, or Ansible experience a plus
• Creation, deployment and management of containers; Docker experience a plus
• Creation, deployment and management of Cloud based resources; AWS or Azure experience a plus
• Oversees and performs daily maintenance tasks, system and application log reviews, break-fix support
• Works with project teams to help determine and advise the technical scope for enhancements or new projects
• Produce and maintain high quality technical documentation for systems, applications and processes
• Creation and management of SQL maintenance plans and various other T-SQL based scripts
• Routine systems and application patches and upgrades
Responsibilities
- • Extensive server, OS, Cloud Service, application and network troubleshooting experience
- • Solid experience in overseeing the design and implementation of systems, applications and related processes both on premise and in the cloud
- • Strong written, oral, and inter-personal communication skills
- • Ability to solve complex problems quickly and completely
- • Good project management skills
- • Must be highly self-motivated and directed, an independent thinker, organized and detail-oriented
- • Ability to work independently with little guidance and in a collaborative team environment
- • Adherence to established processes and procedures
- • Strong understanding of computer technologies and the direction of new technologies
- • Competence with documenting, flowcharting and project management tools and procedures
- • Ability to plan and organize effectively
- • Knowledge of applicable IT security, confidentiality and data privacy practices - maintains confidentiality of company-sensitive data
- • Keeping direct supervisors informed of activities and situations which will impact the achievement of corporate and department goals and objectives
