• Minimum 6 years of experience leading process development in complex warehouse environments WMS implementations warehouse operations focused continual improvement or other relevant experience • Blue Yonder experience is a must have • Analytical skills and experience identifying potential issues and developing contingency plans • Capable of being a strong team member while able to manage individual priorities • Experience delivering on-the-job coaching to warehouse staff as it relates to process and systems • Strong skills in developing workflow solutions to simplify process operations • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders • Ability to work independently as well as in a highly collaborative team-based environment • Have a broad-based general technology mindset • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel Visio Word and PowerPoint) and/or G Suite. Experience using and implanting modern cloud-based warehouse management solutions (e.g. Blue Yonder Manhattan SAP Oracle etc.) • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills. The WMS (Warehouse Management System) Implementation Business Lead is responsible for delivery of a successful WMS rollout that aligns to the operational goals and customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for warehouse implementations. This role acts as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Supply Chain operations and supports process and system development along with training and the change management process.
Responsibilities
- The WMS Implementation Business Lead is responsible for developing and implementing processes aligned with companies new Warehouse Management System across the distribution network. This individual will represent Supply Chain operations in requirements gathering, detailed design, implementation, and support phases.
- • Using Inbound, Outbound, Warehouse, and/or Engineering subject matter expertise, lead the systems implementation team to deliver a WMS instance across the companies network.
- • Evaluate current and/or intended warehouse environments, identify fit to standard solutions, configure process and technology to achieve intended outcomes.
- • Document new processes for warehouse functions aligned with new technology.
- • Understand change activities and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation.
- • Act as a SME for the local Operations Team and provide hands-on training as necessary.
- • Drive accountability of the project execution and delivery of successful operations based on warehouse KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and customer SLAs.
- • Execute system configuration, implementation, and testing activities within the scope of a project.
- • Act as a change agent and assist operational teams with the transition from as-is / to-be processes and systems.
- • Function as a subject matter expert and drive the alignment of system functionality to desired processes and outcomes with the project team.
- • Evaluate system and operational performance to identify issues or opportunities for improvement and collaborate on solution development or resolution.
- • Interface with internal and external stakeholders with professionalism and the ability to connect system functionality to business processes.
