QuidelOrtho is well underway in a Enterprise wide Data Lake build out. They are leveraging a medallion architecture working to build to the gold layer. As they begin to take on data now being introduced to the data lake in preparation for reporting and analytics, they need a Data Modeler to assist the existing team. The focus is working between the Data Engineering team, the Reporting Team, and the business stakeholders to define success and desired outcomes for reporting. The consultant will review code, talk to business, design/build requirements. This is an end-to-end role - responsibilities including the design/build through execution. The ability of the consultant to make recommendations regarding structure and design of data models, the request to ingest different types of data into the data lake, ability to enhance/modify existing models to building new models. Consultant should have extensive experience developing and integrating semantic models to enhance data usability. QuidelOrtho is working on the synch between Power BI and Fabric so any experience with Fabric is a HUGE plus. This is a very hands-on position.
