Discussing project requirements with the HVAC engineers Building out features that have been discussed based on priority Programmers are talking to the engineering group a lot - about best direction, best practices, upgrading features etc They have a product that they use for engineering to do ‘what if’s for different motor/piping/etc sizing and they bought the product a while back, its not very user friendly and doesn't work well (stand alone compared to ERP), nothing is matching to what they have in their system. When they get a quote they have to completely redo so they are wanting to write it themselves. Engineering is writing specs to tell them what the requirements are, Randy is presenting a project plan in a week, and has a feeling he will need 2-3 Full stack developers. Engineering type application - wants people who have technical mathematically application experience. Will be working closely with engineer - API’s, need to be able to put all the numbers in and understand that side of the APIs. Front end-will generate a report for engineers to use. Graphing and images displayed. Real full stack. Do you use a controller repository method, where would you put your business logic in all 3, how would you organize your business logic. SQL-how do you create a normalized database, and how do you design your tables for the best efficiency. The front end will be fairly complex in that what you see will vary on the product that you use. Rules in SQL that will determine what you get on the screen. (How would you organize your javascript so it doesn’t get confusing) Mark will be an advisor making sure they are organized, agile organization on this one, have regular two week sprints How do you like to organize your project and source control The main person running this will be the engineer, in conjunction with randy/mark. It has a lot of visibility to the ownership of the company. Will be giving them updates quite a bit, between the 3 of them, keep the scope to a minimum. (Mechanical engineer background is on the team)
